You call yourself a Christian? Well, do you accept your fate:
“You should not be surprised, brothers, when you the world doth hate?”
It’s stated in the Word of God, the world is not your friend:
You pick one of two masters. And with God you can’t pretend.
This means: A Christian is hated for their words, or their views
However gently spoke. No matter what the words they choose.
A family member slandered, outcast – ’cause they follow Christ.
An office colleague ostracised: whom God alone sufficed.
A church-attender cursed because they showed a little spine
To follow God – like Luther – over the false party-line.
This is the hate that – if you follow Christ – you’ll surely get.
If you’re not hated: likely you are not a Christian yet.
