A Christian man is ready for the fight.
In centuries past: the bonfire they’d light
To roast Believers. Others for reward
Were given to the hangman. Or the sword.
But there were not abandoned – though with pain
The won their martyrdom: never in vain!
God give you strength – like them – to live this year
A man of God each day you tarry here
Until you’re taken home to realms above
And Welcomed by a heavenly Father’s love.
He never will abandon you, my son.
Trust God in everything Jesus has done.
May peace be multiplied inside your heart.
May joy increase as your twelfth year you start.
