E Nomine Dominus

Music Note

Drawing inspiration from artists including E Nomine: I used GarageBand to author my own music project, christened E Nomine Dominus.

This music mix combines spoken and sung vocals with with a repeated harmony: creating a “Gothic dance track” feel. For the spoken vocals I used the latin text of the Pater Noster and Psalm 23. The sung vocals use a motif from Matthew 23:39 – “Blessed be He who comes in the Name of the Lord.”

I wove together the vocal harmonies using Garageband’s change-pitch function. The resulting mix worked well enough: although as vocal complexity increases, I rely more upon complementary external audio-editors (eg Audacity) for fine-tuning.
