My God! This feeble life I offer You. Prostrate I call Your Name.
In supplicating prayers. I live fast bound with flesh’s mortal chain.
Regardless, my soul’s eyes will searching seek to know Your higher ways
Until You take me home to be with You. While this dead corpse decays.
For now tis darkness for my soul. How long before I walk in light?
For now I dimly see. How long before no scales obscure my sight?
My soul’s new perfect body waits – but first I must pass through death’s door
And then new life: a new creation – heaven, earth You shall restore.
